Rock You Like A... Well, Like a Raincloud

Sorry. Title inspired by the great song my father bough the other day.

Worked a short shift with Ashley today. She's just a darling. It was kind stressful at work; we were quite busy, and I felt like I never stopped scooping ice cream. And the flies, God. We just wished that the health inspector would walk in and tell them they NEEDED to do something about it. Ugh. At one point I was feeling so hotile that Ashley's like, "Okay, just don't worry about it, I'll get ice cream for a while." She's too dear. I felt bad, though; her shift was three hours longer than mine. We also conceded that I need to have her cook for me and drive me home. Apparently, she loves to cook, and drive in the boonies. It's perfect. Tee hee.

Oh, and I have a small announcement. A wee, bitty, unimportant smidgen of news.

I'm almost done Monks and Mikos!!! If I quit procrastinating, I could be done TONIGHT. WOOT.

Another thought: people are inconsiderate idiots. Today, we (F---'s) were on the front page of the newspaper in an article about corn. Before we opened today, a photographer showed up at the market to get a shot of out corn counter. Patty let him in, and showed him where it was. He took a look around at our morning crew and asked Patty, a mother of two college students, whether there were any "young" people he could photograph with the corn. Uh!! Now, Patty looks great. She's sweet, petite, and well-dressed always. I could not BELIEVE his rudeness. Eventually, as no sufficently young people were around, he went out to the farm to take different pictures.

Pfft.
