Aha! I Told you They Had Cooties!!
Actually, I was never really one of those "ew-I-hate-boys" girls, though neither was a boy-crazy. But lately, well, it's just too funny.
Almost every year at our church, they host a Dorney Park day for all us student ministries kids. And every time they have it, my best friend and I go and have an amazing time. This year, though, is the first she's had a boyfriend to take along. (She was with Dork last year too, of course, but they didn't have it.) So, when she went to sign the two of them up this morning, she was somehow astonished that I didn't, too. Grr. I mean, I adore Dork and all, but there's no way I'm third-wheeling it all day. We thought Genki might come too, and I could've hung out with her, but she's got an adorable new boyfriend nowadays, so... *shrug*
Which brings me to my next point. My closest guy friend, Sears, has had this thing for Genki for, well, years. However, she consistently shot him down, so he dated two other girls (both relationships crashed and burned), and even *tried* to go after me. (Muaha.) Then, he has the audacity, once he learns that Genki has a new boyfriend, to ask her out once again, and then proceed to flip out on her. OMG. Does he really not think?? I mean, he's a great guy, and if Genki liked him it could be great, but she doesn't. Didn't. Or, doesn't anymore. Idk, I'm "out of the loop".
Le sigh.
It is father's day, though- we got my dad a dvd, a gift card, a salt cellar like Alton Brown's, and mom got him an iPod nano. I think he'll like 'em. My dad is a gift-love kind of person, he loves presents. Ooh, and I'm submitting a drabble I'm quite proud of to iyfic_contest. It's nice, I think. Squee and all that.
