i feel like a professor. for my BIO 130 class, the professor i sit in on doesn't really teach the material. the other professor is a lot more structured and actually teaches the basics before trying to teach concepts, and so is a lot farther ahead. it basically means that i have to teach the concepts during AMP that they should have gotten in class. and when some of the students don't even seem to pay attention to my explanations (when it's a one on one explanation...) it just frustrates me even more. i feel like my instructions go in one ear and out the other, so I have a constant barrage of "What? I don't get it!" thrown at my face. instead of listening and trying to comprehend, it's like they want me to take their tests and learn the material for them.
anyway, i was able to go on my morning run today, which made me happy. i really enjoy that exhausted feeling i get after I work out. i think it's because the exhaustion is proof that i've worked hard, and now can relax. i need to work up to three miles(ish). right now i can go 1.5 without stopping, and then take a water break before going about half a mile more. hopefully i'll be able to work up to a comfortable 3 miles without wheezing and gasping.
then at lunch, we were treated to a marching band performance in the quad by the Crenshaw High School marching band. someone told me it was a part of the black history month celebration. the performance was outstanding, and reminded me why i miss band. i love music!!! maybe i'll pull the sax out and give it a whirl.
