i'm sitting here updating lj while drinking a beer. the first beer i ever purchased by myself in america (because that happened several times in japan over the last few days. hey, it was legal.) the sucky thing: the guy didn't even card me! apparently i look too old or something. or maybe he just had a lot of work to do. it was the midnight crew at thirftway restocking shelves, after all.
hm, that's the extent of my update. got several birthday wishes and birthday calls (and an email in fact) from people all over the world. today was a good day (and hopefully i won't remember tomorrow night being even better ::wink wink::)
