Used to bruise;

If I put my heart and soul into something,
what is the worst that could happen?
I could be disappointed,
I could have my heart trampled on
and my soul battered.

But I could go away knowing that
I have given all that I can give.
And I will have no regrets--
maybe only bruised knees and
empty wallets.

Failing must not become a habit.
Trying, is a different story altogether.
