oh my goodness. i know you prob'ly get tired of me posting an entry only when i win concert tickets, but hey its my journal, bitch! that was mean.. i take back that bitch comment. anyways.. today on 99X steve was giving away foo fighters/weezer tickets and "new release tuesday" cd packs. the cd pack included the new 30 seconds to mars, the new death cab for cutie and the new our lady peace. i tried a few times to win one of these packs because i love 30 seconds to mars and lesley loves death cab. i figured this way i could save us both money by winning them rather than buying them. alas, i could not be the right caller. i got through a few times but was never the caller i needed to be. 99X is also having a contest now called "best of view" for foo fighters/weezer tickets. i told my brother that i would win him some tickets for his birthday, but since i failed to win the green day ones i wasn't as sure as i usually am. oh man. i am sure now. oh so sure. my OCD has paid off. (obsessive compulsive disorder to calling 99X all the time.. right.. stay with me..) you had to be the 10th caller when they played weezer and foo fighters back to back. when they started playing "we are all on drugs" by weezer i started calling. i got through and she said they weren't giving away tickets yet. but when they played "big me" by foo fighters right after it, i called again. i was caller number 4. but this did not get me down. i simply hung up and tried again. after countless rings, steve finally answered the phone. i knew with him answering that i had won. otherwise the intern would have answered. and win i did. i got garrett his tickets for the show next thursday night and we are entered into the contest for "best of view". basically you win the best seats in the house. strapped to the back of dave grohl i think. i don't know. but if nothing else, i won the tickets i told him i would win. i still got it. except when it comes to green day for some reason. oh well. foo fighters/weezer here we come! woo!
