The Doctor crossed his arms and watched as Rory and Amy moved over to the exhibit about the Romans. Of course it was a rather large in joke now - between them - about him being a Roman. He didn’t find it all that amusing, but kept it to himself. Then again the events surrounding the Pandorica weren’t all that funny to him yet.

“Micky, slow down!”

He turned to look at the name, if only for a moment because it took him back to Rose calling after Mickey. He saw two children running through the exhibit, both brown haired. The boy - who he assumed was Micky - running on ahead, leaving the girl behind. She huffed and folded her arms, turning back to look at the Roman exhibit. The Doctor stole a glance at his companions before walking over to her.

“Are you alright?” He asked.

The girl looked up at him, suddenly straightening to look older than she really was. Her green eyes were determined. In a way they did look older than she really was. As if she had seen things that she shouldn’t have seen. The Doctor hated that. Children should be allowed to be children.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” the girl answered. “He’s just a jerk.”

The Doctor smiled. “Usually they tend to be like that at that age. Are you separated from your group?”

“We came with Miss Hunroe, but we-”

“-wandered off?”

She smiled. “Yeah.”

He gave an affection ruffle of her hair, despite being a stranger. “You lot always tend to run off. You should stay with your guide. Might get into more trouble than you know. Will you need help finding him?”

“No, I can do fine on my own.” She answered back, eying him for a moment. Something seemed off about him. Different.

The Doctor just smiled. “It’s always nice to meet someone who knows what it’s like. Isn’t it?”

“Doctor! We’re going to leave you behind!” Amy called out.

He gave another quirky grin to the girl as she looked out for Amy. When the girl turned back, the Doctor had disappeared into the crowed. Like he was never there. For a moment, Molly Moon felt as if she had found someone who knew what it was like. Time travel.

“Come on, Molly!”

Molly went back to the museum the next day. Maybe he worked at the museum? But, she never saw him. It was as if the nice man in the bow tie and tweed was never there to begin with. Maybe she imagined him.

Not everyone could time travel, after all.
