1. First Impression
The first time Leon sees Riku, it’s when he comes with Sora and Kairi, at Yuffie’s request. He is instantly awed by the younger male’s silver hair, pale skin, and hypnotic green eyes. Though the younger says almost nothing their entire three-day stay, the few words he does are pronounced in such deep, velvety voice that Leon has to blink twice.

2. First Touch
The first time Leon touches Riku, it’s when they’re training, Sora and Yuffie attacking each other in the background. The silver-haired youth rushes at him, keyblade raised, and Leon lifts his gunblade in defense. As metal clashes on metal, their hands hit each other. His skin feels electric.
Shocking.
3. First Kiss
The first time Leon kisses Riku, it’s right after training, when they’re changing. He sees the other take off his shirt, and can’t stop himself anymore. The kiss is sloppy, full of tongues and teeth clashing and tearing at each other. It’s almost as violent as their spar, and just as passionate.
Perfect.
4. First Time
The first time Leon takes Riku, it’s outside in the rain, rolling in mud behind the supply shed. They were sent to go get a toolbox and rope. It was Riku who initiated the kiss that began the steamy affair, but he was in no way innocent. Though they are dirtied from the elements and from each other and from themselves, the act in itself was somehow artful. Somehow, it was right.

The first time Leon admits he may even love Riku, it’s during the one minute of thought they allow themselves, still and unmoving in the mud. Like a silent rule, they wait out a perfect minute, then wordlessly lift themselves and straighten their clothes, already knowing that their filth is easily explainable by a fall.

Up until now, their relationship had been one of convenience, but the intimacy of the gesture seems to bring things to another level.
