Got my grades for Spring semester-- A, A, A-, B+. I'm pretty happy with that.
Had my first summer class today (out of two, one of which is online); it was speech. It's at 9:45am in Niceville, which sucks, but my teacher is really cool. Chris had him last year and really liked him. He's pretty young and quite funny, so hopefully giving speeches in this class won't kill me like I had orignally thought. ...Because I hate public speaking, of course.
My other class is a computer class I'm taking at UWF online. According to ratemyprofessor, she's a crazy-ass from hell. Great. The class starts next week and runs til like August 10th I think. Eh.
Man, college screws you fuckin blue-- I have all these books from classes I've taken, and I can't sell them back because they now have new editions. Isn't that some bullshit?! Either that or they give you the shittiest deal they can come up with, e.g., my used Marketing book was $127 and I opened it maybe 3 times this semester. I go to sell it back, and the bastards offer $15. Are you fucking kidding me? So, yeah. If anybody needs any of the following books, I'll make you a good deal: College Algebra (teacher's edition- same book just with answers in the back. Sweet, yeah?), Statistics, Marketing, Advertising, Music Appreciation, Film Music, and many more.
Still working at the nursery. It's a pretty easy job, other than getting up really early, trying to find out which kid shit their pants, and dealing with this old lady, Lucille, that also works there. She's seriously close to 80 if she's not in her 80's (and actually lives down the street from me). She's worked there since time began and refuses to retire even though she's a fucking nutbag. She has meltdowns about the weirdest, trivial shit and has a definite control issue with the kids. Nobody can stand her. But whatever, I just agree with her and don't argue and things go relatively smoothly. I just turn around and mutter things and roll my eyes, much to the amusement of whoever else is working with us. : )
