As of Christmas eve, Neil McCormick is no longer a resident of the Barge. He didn't graduate, but as far as I'm aware, he's okay. He's just...not here anymore. I believe he's returned home.

I'm sorry I couldn't give him the help he needed, but at heart, he's truly a good young man. I'm sure that wherever he is, things will work out for him. I ( Read more... )

[Martha knew that her friend was upset, and she had come up to Libby's room well before the ten minutes had elapsed. It was a sign that she had know that something was wrong; Martha tended to run a bit late for everything. She knocked on the door softly and a bit sadly; a part of her knew what was to come.]

[Quietly, not really meeting Martha's eyes, Libby opened the door and let her friend in. She waited for Martha to sit before settling herself on the couch again.]

Well, this isn't any easier in person. [She gave a tiny nervous laugh and wiped at her eyes.]

[As soon as Libby didn't met her eyes, Martha knew. She knew that it had been a long time coming, and it made her smile, but the expression was clearly bittersweet. One hand extended towards the woman, and she took Libby's in her own.]
