The weather is lovely right now, isn't it? The snow and the cold air make everything feel so clean.
Dear Santa Claus,
God, I haven't written one of these since I was in grade school, and that was a very long time ago. It feels weird to be doing this, so I'll keep the intro short and sweet. I don't really want anything for myself, but I have quite a list of gifts for others.
Morgan: A cashmere robe; she deserves something luxurious for when she's just hanging out in her room. Send some sort of treat for King Charles, too.
Angel: Professional-quality charcoal pencils and a sketchbook with 100 pages of acid-free, high quality paper. And a teddy bear...he just needs something to hug sometimes.
Sam (Tyler): A bottle of Romanée Conti. I hope he and Annie enjoy wine.
West: I'm half-tempted to just send the man a big sandwich, but I think I'll hold back on that. So... a glass brandy decanter and matching drinking glasses will do, nice ones, and some ferret treats for Ripley.
Billy: A couple of Dungeons and Dragons manuals, basically any he doesn't already have but would like...and a small box of freshly-made profiteroles, as he appears to enjoy them enough to desire them as an official holiday dish.
Tosh: A wind-up music box. I think she needs something charming and old-fashioned--something she wouldn't think to buy for herself. It should play whatever traditional children's song she was fondest of when she was young.
Martha: An assortment of aromatherapy candles. Just make sure not to include any scents she's allergic to, if there are any.
Ruby: A little bouquet of fresh flowers. Please include a note that reads "It's never too late."
Peter: I can't believe I'm doing this... Some sort of small chocolate assortment. Nothing fancy or expensive. Please attach a note that says "Thank you for being so kind to him."
I also have something special in mind for Drusilla if she ever returns. I'll add it later if that happens.
...
You know what...I've changed my mind. There are a few things I'd like. I want my own bottle of what I requested for Sam; I think I've earned it. I'd also like some music I can play on that fantastic little futuristic player Tosh gave me...I assume it would have to be some kind of digital file. The works of Israel Kamakawiwo'ole would be very nice. Not for the reason some assholes might assume, either. I just love his voice. And a photo of Bobby, please.
Oh! And some toys for Reyes. You know...a squeaky toy, tug rope, things like that. The ones he has now are getting a little worn. And treats.
Thanks a bunch,
- Libby
P.S. I changed my mind again, about something else. In addition to what I put down for West, do send him a large submarine sandwich. I only hope he's in the mood for jokes when he opens his gifts...
