So, all this fuss with the little bitty versions of people, and gender swaps - that included even the gods running around looking stupid, has reminded me that we're all on equal footing here. It's been nice to not just hole up in my room.

They said it's a holiday to celebrate lovers.

But instead, it's got everyone turning into nervous idiots, and gossiping about an upcoming dance, and about buying each other candygrams. I don't even know what a candygram is, but I don't want one if they make everyone so anxious.

Do you reckon? I would feel a bit sorry for anyone who gave a card and was turned down. At least matters of the heart have not changed.

They should know the risks going in. You don't want to give them the wrong idea - that seems crueler to me.

You're quite right, but someone who confesses their feelings- well, you have a responsibility to them. They are confiding a vulnerable part of themselves after all.

Yes, you're right and even if you owe them a responsibility for keeping their feelings- they should never push their feelings onto you.
