OH. MY. GOD. I totally agree with you. I mean, heck, I don't claim to be an "activist" and I still think I'm growing in terms of my consciousness and progressivness...but people who go around wearing earth tones, arm bands, and throw out words like "oppression" really irk me. Because you KNOW they bought those clothes at Hollister. And the arm bands? Hot Topic, my friend.

On a lighter note, it was really good seeing you last week! I missssss yoooooooou! I don't know how many times I've been down at the center and have heard somebody go, "I miss Andrew..." Aww...you are definitely loved here. Thanks for treating us to Starbucks (perhaps I shouldn't have written that down...don't wanna ruin your activist cred...haha just kidding). By the way, Mos Def is comming for sure now, so you have to come! Actually, I'm holding your dancehall CD for ransom until you come visit. Well, I guess you need a ride to Davis...so technically until I drive to Sac and pick you up. Oh yeah...I can burn you a copy of Talib so you can spend more money on beer or whatever you college-grad-old-fogies-with-steady-income people like to drink :)
