Rambling
The time change has been a bit difficult at our house. Sure, it's nice when Sam sleeps in until 8:30, but I have early morning plans the next two days. It's gonna be rough getting him out the door on time. Plus Travis and I had been switching off mornings, so we alternated breakfast duty. It's hard making breakfast every day. Dude, it's only been three days!! Perspective. You can do this.
I'm actually taking a weekend off!! I'm going to a scrapbook retreat this weekend. I'm so excited!!!
I'm actually reading a novel! This hasn't happened very often in the last couple of years. I forget how nice it is. Otherwise I've been reading magazines, text books (video/film stuff), parenting books (potty training happening soon), and blogs.
I'm stuck on Guitar Hero III. Again. It's definitely the hardest in the series. I've been using the practice mode and I'm glad it's there.
No date set for the new season of Doctor Who, but it's speculated for early April. I'm totally reading spoilers. I was disappointed too many times last season, I want to know what I'm getting into this time around. And so far I'm not very excited. Yesterday I watched some clips on YouTube where people switched music around between the old and new series. It was so much fun watching the new stuff with the old music! It made me happy.
Spaced is coming to US Region 1 DVD on July 23rd! It's also being remade into an American series. Why do they do that? It's going to be terrible!
Movie Recommendations:
The Second Chance - sure, Michael W. Smith isn't the best actor ever, and the movie has way too much shaky cam, but it has a good story about breaking out of your comfort zone and actually going to help people in need.
Gone in 60 Seconds (1974) - the original. No plot, no great acting, just a lot of stealing cars and a 40 minute car chase. Makes you want to play Burnout! Good for casual viewing, don't expect much. The interviews (special features) were fun.
Music and Lyrics - I really like Hugh Grant. This was a fun one!
