What a year. Hard to think about all that has happened but somehow I'm able to conjure up thoughts in my head of what all went on. Here it goes, ready set go!
January: the New Year's celebration I forgot I had at my place (no buzz intended) led us into a New Year of 2012. Got to experience more clinics and performances through IMEA and IPFW Honor Band. More of our kids got to be in the honor band and we had a influx of students participating in ISSMA Solo/Ensemble. Mix all that up with winter guard made January a full-month stretching into March
February: Doing this by month is going to hurt my brain because now I'm trying to recollect everything. Ick. Celeste celebrated her 36th birthday and I can say by that point she was back on track with her family and especially her own children. Putting them first. I speak too soon about this however it's better than had been. The family met up to get some wonderful family photos done and Gisele was a hoot during the whole process.
March: I believe at this point, the weather was so mild and freakish that we had only a few snow days so we were all look forward to Spring Break. A few things had happened before all that went down. I got a thought in my head to honor Megan's parents for their hard work and dedication to our winter guard girls and past programs Megan has worked. I sent in a biography and photo of them both for the IHSCGA Guardian Award and they were recipients of it! It was really exciting and proud to see. I would love to nominate them again. Them and another family who I will nominate next year (2014) for all their hard work too. The Skidgel parents are a good family and their daughters work really hard. Before we were to go down to Indy for the award, I had some horrible sharp pain occuring in my big left toe. This was going on as I was moving stuff from one room to another because they were doing work in my classroom. At that point I had no idea what it was so I went to the clinic and doctor said GOUT. What?? It was weird. I got a shot, blood drawn and some muscle relaxers. This was the beginning of a wake-up call that is still occurring. My gout is being managed now by a supplement I take and I hope it never ever comes back. HORRIBLE feeling!
April: This month brought me my 31st birthday and that's it. :-)
Okay to hell with this month stuff, it's taxing...I'll try to wing it from here.
Actually I'm done. Reflecting is tough and I'm lazy today. I want to lay down, be lazy and enjoy the last day of my vacation
