Friday night seems like such a long time ago, but it was only two days ago. I went out after work with a few of the people I work with. The boyfriend of one of the former employees paid for drinks for everyone, so that was pretty cool. We had fun and I got to get to know people better. Saturday I worked a double. That wasn't too bad all in all. In the morning event, I met an Albion Alum from 1973. He gave me a bit of a hard time about the job that I had chosen for after college. Later he told me it was similar to the job that he had, and told me that he thought it was great that I was going to the Peace Corps. He asked me about the parties that we were having now. He said that theirs were better. Saturday night just got long, but I found out that the bride at the wedding was an APO brother. This is the second time I've met a brother in less than 10 days. I met one last friday at the party that I was at.
Today, I went to the beach with a friend. We ended up going to her family's cottage and meeting with her aunt, uncle and cousins. After swimming, rough-housing, and kayaking, we got invited for dinner too. We had spaghetti and had a lot of fun. Then we went out on a boat to watch the sunset. But the boat decided to stall out on Lake Michigan. Then it decided to start taking on water. Luckily we got it started that time. Then it stalled again and 4 more times. But in the end we got into shore. When I got home my dad yelled at me. He brought up some good points, but I felt as though some of them were unjustified. I think that we are misunderstanding each other.
Oh well, I head to Florida tomorrow, I am looking forward to getting away.
