Yuto is good at hiding his presence. He followed his master as he met again with Yuma. Maybe, his suspicion was right. He leaned on the wall a few feet away from them.
``I heard Daiki-sama has been missing since the engagement and nobody knows of his whereabouts,
are we going to have a problem with that?`` Nakayama asked him.
``He has hidden himself and even his retainer doesn`t know anything but it`s alright. I believe the wedding would proceed, since he`s not the type to abandon his responsibilities.``
```You`re really smart Yuri. Giving them the idea of the marriage.``
``They said that it would still be a winning situation for us even if the wedding is cancelled. Do you know why is that?`` Yuri asked Yuma instead.
``I`ve got no idea.``
``Tsk! The plan was good but they`ve chosen an idiot to be his bride. That Aki couldn`t help herself. I was told that she almost told everyone that she`s getting married. She was showing-off her engagement ring! Really stupid! What if we lost Takaki Yuya because of her?``
``Still. It would be a winning situation. Both Aki and Takaki are just back-ups.``
``I thought you don`t have any idea.`` Yuri raised his brow. He was startled when he felt a menacing aura. He shot a small ball of fire on the eavesdropping person before he pushed Yuma away from him.
Yuto came out from where he is hiding and charged at Yuri and tried to restrain him. Yuma grabbed Yuto from the back but Yuto`s taller and he lift Yuma from the back and slammed him on the floor before he punched him on the chest, giving him difficulty to breathe. Yuri kicked him on his side and he was thrown a few feet away. Yuto stepped forward and kicked Yuri. With his long legs, he reached the shorter boy despite his agility. Yuma recoved and tackled him to the wall while Yuri gave him a punch which he dodged. The wall was left, slightly burnt. He was about to get another hit but he twisted Yuma`s arms, turned him around and made his his shield. Yuri was shocked as Yuma slowly dropped on the floor with his smoke coming from his chest. Yuto took the chance and kicked him twice until he`s on the floor. The taller boy removed his scarf and tied it on Yuri`s hands. Yuri tried to burn the cloth but to no avail.
``How..why is it not burning?``
``That is a gift from Daiki-sama. It`s something a retainer use to restrain the flame of the master. He said, I would need it and he was right. He didn`t train me for nothing.``
``W-What?``
``He suspected that you`re a spy, and he`s right again. That is why he took you in. He wanted to have you close to him as much as possible.``
``Let me go!``
``No, I won`t. I will take you home and you will answer to Daiki-sama---``
``No. He will answer to me.`` They both look up to see Inoo Kei approaching. Kei slapped the boy.
``Take him to Daiki-sama`s house.
``How could a kid get an excellent idea to have Daiki-sama get married. I must admit, it was a good one and I couldn`t agree more..only if you didn`t choose a girl from the same university and also a daughter of one of the elders.`` Inoo looked at the boy on the floor. Yuto turns into a monster when he`s angry. The boy is full of bruises on his face and arms and he wouldn`t be surprised if he`s also bruised underneath his clothing.
``Why did you do it?`` Kei calmly asked him. Yuto kicked him again when he didn`t answer. Small blood came out of the boy`s mouth.
``Answer me, why did you do it?`` Inoo voice was still calm but deadly.
``He`s weak. There are others, better guardians than him. They don`t understand why it should be him.``
``So, their objective is to get rid of Daiki-sama, eh? But you want him to produce an offspring before getting rid of him, am I right?`` The boy didn`t answer for Inoo was right. Yuto grabbed his hair and slapped him causing a cut on his lips.
``And Aki-san being the mother of his child, her family will rise to power. What a good plan.``
``We can still call off the wedding, right?`` Yuto asked him.
``That is where Takaki Yuya comes in.`` Inoo answered. ``But something is missing here. Can you tell me about it?`` Inoo knelt to look at Yuri`s eyes. ``Come now, tell me.``
``I-I don`t know.`` Inoo narrowed his eyes and sighed.
``You can do what you want with him. He`s of no use now.``
``W-What are you going to do?!`` He looked back and forth to Inoo and Yuto.
``Saving them the trouble of killing you, of course.`` Yuto smiled devilishly.
``W-What are you saying? They`re going to get me out of here!`` Yuri screamed.
``No. They won`t. You killed Nakayama Yuma. You are now branded a traitor.``
``It was an accident!``
``Not for them.``
``That`s not true. They will come and save---.`` Few sheets of paper hit his face. His eyes grew wide seeing the paper that gives the order of his execution.
``You`re not the only one who works in the shadows, Chinen Yuri-kun.`` Inoo smirked at him.
``They betrayed me..they did this to me and will kill me, like they killed...`` Yuri was trembling.
``Get him out of my sight. Now.``
Yuto forcefully held him up and dragged him to the basement. He threw Yuri inside a room and locked him up.
Daiki appeared inside the locked room and seeing Yuri asleep. Another boy appeared beside him.
``Do you really need to lock him up, here?``
``I need to make sure he won`t escape.``
``Still. This kind of---``
``Our agreement is that you work for me and I`ll get him out of that place and keep him alive and I did.
Now whatever I do to him is not anymore of your business. Now that you`ve seen him, leave and do your job.``
The boy bowed and disappeared.
Daiki sat down on the bed and stroked Yuri`s head down to his back, sending him heat and warmth of relief.
``Yuto must have hurt you so much. That idiot! But don`t hate him, Yuri. I want to make sure that you`ll have a retainer to look after you. I know, Yuto can do that.``
Tears ran on the sleeping boy`s face. ``Ryu-chan..Ryu..``
``He`s alive. He visited you earlier. I will let him visit you more often as long that you stay with me. For now, you sleep and rest.``
Daiki left when he was sure that Yuri was warm enough.
``Kei! Kei! Let`s talk, please!`` Kota was running after his ex-boyfriend.
``We don`t need to talk, Kota. Stop following me.`` Kota grabbed his wrist.
``Let me go!``
``No. I love you, Kei. Tell me if you need help. If you`re in trouble.Tell me.You should be with me.``
Kei slapped him. Kota wrapped his arms around Kei and kissed him. Kissed him endlessly until Kei gave in and answered him with equal passion.
He has his arms wrapped around his knees. He doesn`t know of the time or how many days have passed since he was in the basement. He didn`t look up when the door creeked and Yuto entered with basin, towel and change of clothes.
Yuto looked at him but didn`t say a word. He sat down and gently touched Yuri`s hands. He raised the shorter boy`s arm and started cleaning his wounds. He gently wiped Yuri`s face running his fingers on his bruises especially the cut on his lips. Yuri stayed motionless. He didn`t even give a fight when Yuto undressed him and cleaned his body. Yuto went out after he changed Yuri`s clothes and came back with a medicine kit and a tray with hot soup and drinking water.
Yuri silently finished his meal.
``Why am I still alive? What do you need me for? Daiki-sama will kill me when he gets back and I want you to kill me, instead of him.``
``His order is for me to be your retainer and to put you in your proper place, not to kill you.``
``Don`t ask anymore questions for I cannot answer them. You should find the answer yourself. For now, rest.`` He laid the boy down on the bed and stroke his hair until he`s asleep.
Yuto placed a gentle kiss on his lips before he left.
Yuri was blushing when he opened his eyes.
