crossing things off my list.

i feel really good when i make to-do lists,
not so good when i read over them,
not good at all when the same things get written over and over again,
but wonderful when i put a line through even one.

the phone is a funny thing.
sometimes, i feel like talking.
sometimes, i don't.
on days where i do, i feel i don't have much to say.
on days where i don't, i can't seem to get off it.

i'm eight down the waiting list.
eight's not too bad,
and i really would love to go to virginia.

if only reading took up less time.
i'm willing to put more energy into it to make it go faster,
just so i can get more of it done at once.

i want to plant something.

i want to find a one-piece bathing suit.
