Today we filled out an interesting required survey in the similar layout as a standardized test with the most random questions detailing SAT scores, how many kids at your old school were white, what is your major, what political party do you identify with, what do you parents do to get money, last year did you regularly visit teachers homes, drink alcohol, feel bored in class, how likely are you to leave your college in the next year etc. I found it very... black and white and strangely arranged. It was almost as though they were trying to build up your FBI file without having to do all of that nasty investigative work. I was also very disturbed by the question asking what your parents do for a job and what you see yourself doing for a job, they were very specific, especially in the medical profession but they neglected quite a few jobs. They didn't list any of the super ambitious jobs such as: astronaut, ceo, president of the united states, surgeon general, world emperor, secret agent, olympics gold-winner, rockstar, etc. Nothing fun like that. But if you want to do that or be that they don't care, they have you just check "Other" which could, for all we know, also mean that you aspire to be a crack whore or the guy who drives the boat on the drug smuggling pirates of the modern-day carribean. I don't know, it just bothered me. That and it gave you the option of saying you aspire to be unemployed.
Food was better but still not excellent. I recalled my previous Friday comment of wishing that we had the option of eating Soylent Green rather than the real food. But at least you always have a choice with some of the food, they always seem to have cruitons... I guess I'll live off of that.
I will write more later, it's just very late and welll... *noise of shifting restlessly and irritably in the background* I dunno, my fun meter dipped a bit low today...
