I read once in Discover magazine that the more they try to improve traffic with things like stoplights and additional lanes, the worse traffic actually gets. There's some weird mathematical law involved.
Hmm.. Of all the places I've been and driven, I've always thought that, for the most part, Oregon drivers were pretty predictable. But then, it's where I'm from, so perhaps I'm just used to it.
They drive like maniacs in Florida I'm told that hitting your brakes, for any reason at all, is seen as a sign of weakness. ASs the passenger in a Floridian vehicle, this has nearly caused me to pee myself a couple of times. Also, Washington apparently doesn't allow turn-signals on their vehicles, and California clearly requires that all passing must be done from the right lane.
