I attended my very first softball practice on Sunday. It went much better than expected. Well, except for the part where I got hit in the head with a ball.
Angie and I went to the batting cages yesterday. I pretty much suck at the hitting a ball with a bat part, but I have faith that I shall improve. Angie is very supportive, and tells me that I have natural talent. Friends who will lie to you about these sorts of things are truly priceless :)
Went out with Angie, Amber, and a bunch of girls from work after the batting cages. It was fun, though I was far, far too tired to maintain coherent conversation, which, of course, didn't stop me from talking non-stop for 3 hours.
Darius is sick and I hate it. I just want to make him all better, but the best I can do is make him tea, force multi-vitamins down his throat, and hope that he has something that will improve without the help of a doctor, since he may actually be worse than I am about visiting a doctor when he's sick.
We're actually caught up at work right now, which is nice, since it affords me the opportunity to mess around on the internet instead of, you know, actually working.
Work is a little weird right now due to an event that happened outside of work, and while I think I'm doing a remarkably good job of maintaining my professionalism, things have been more than a little tense. Sharna, who knows the gory details, commented today that a certain someone hasn't been coming around with the regularity they once did, and mentioned that she thought that the one recent time they did stop by our little corner of the office I was incredibly friendly, and not at all "weird" as she would have expected.
She only thinks that because she has no idea just how many thoughts of nose-punching were going through my head at the time :)
