The Namesake
Sara Margaret Anderson (Sisson) passed away in the early morning of March 30, 2009. She was 95 years old. I can't imagine all that she's done and seen in her life. Her funeral was yesterday. I was so proud to see my dad get up in front of everyone and tell them all about the wonderful things my grandma will be remembered for. He was proud to see my brother and I carry her casket to the site next to our grandpa. It's strange to think that every detail of my grandma's funeral was planned out by her down to every hymn and prayer.
Her death was a long time coming, but still very sad for all of us. I found out the morning of the move. Then I saw my dad with tears down his cheeks. I think that image coupled with the news and general stress of moving were what sent me into a migraine that day.
This has been a fucked up week.
