long time no see...got a lot to talk about
i guess i haven't updated since spring break, so i'll just say that the rest of spring break was spent with my family. after maroon 5 on wed, thurs fri and sat my sis and i hung out, with dinner with dad thurs, and dinner with mom fri and sat.
two new fabulous items that were purchased during my stay in beaumont:
1. pink beaded indian slippers SO HOT
2. magenta pink kind-of iridescent ruffled skirt, with a thick pink tie in the back (or front, whichever you want) that is SO cute when tied in a bow

school for the past week has been pretty busy. i took the retest for the CMS test and ended up getting 48/60, argued 2 points, and the prof gave everyone 2 extra points (for 2 bad questions). so i got a 52/60, which is like an 87. not bad, i can still get an A in the class, which is almost impossible for most students that take him, but do-able for me because i need as many A's as i can get, and i DEFINITELY won't be getting one in hebrew!!!
i love my hebrew teacher. he is really tough, but SO cute (marillia says he's "yummy") and really funny! i will definitely make a B, no way of an A. i got lucky last semester when Esther loved me and gave me an A (when i for sure had a B).
so this next week is gonna be kinda crazy... PHEAST WITH PHIS is THIS THURSDAY!!! i have been working so hard on it, and i'm really nervous that it won't go well/we'll run out of food/we won't have enough people here to eat the food/etc. so please please wish me luck!! and come by the Phi house thursday night from 12midnight--3am for all you can eat, only 5 bucks to support Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation!
oh my god, stop me. i am so annoying to this whole sorority right now and within the past week!! aahhh
and the next week (after Pheast with Phis) i have a test mon, a test tue, and a paper due thurs. these are in my MAJOR classes, and i am shooting for A's in all three! so i really really need to get crackin and get my study on a-sap
yesterday i skipped class (bc its EASTER!! even though j's dont celebrate, and even though classes were S'POSED to be cancelled but they weren't) and i called in sick to work (the ONLY time i've ever done that when i actually haven't been sick, and i felt REALLY REALLY guilty about it! but dina bullied me and said "DO IT NOW!!" aahhh peer pressure!) and Sara Loewy, Sarah Weinstein, Barrie, Susan Schwarz, me, Dina, Mimi, Molly, and Karen went to barton springs to get our TAN on!! it was such a beautiful day on friday and we had a grrrreat time! then last night i just layed around the house, hung out with danielle and val during the CRAZY 20 MINUTE TORNADO STORM, and went to bed around 1230 yesssss
so my plan for today was to wake up at 11 and study ALL day/night. like non stop.
however, i woke up a few times during the night, wiping my eyes from this newfound eye crust, and then went back to sleep. when i finally woke up for good around 10, my eyes were GLUED shut! i spent like 5 minutes getting all the SHIT out of my eyes, and then looked in the mirror. BOTH of my eyes were PINK and SWOLLEN, and they hurt real bad! i wanted to cry!! i called my sister and told her i think i have pink eye in both eyes, and she gave me the 24 hour nurse line to the SSB here. i called them and told the nurse my symptoms, and she told me i had to go to the urgent care center of the SSB immediately, that someone had to drive me there (in case of blurred vision), and i had to throw away my contacts :(
meanwhile, dina is like EWWWWW GROSSS PINK EYE!!!! DONT TOUCH ANYTHING!! so i opened the door to go to the bathroom, realize i just contaminated my roommate, and busted out the CLOROX WIPES to wipe down my LIFE! ughh so annoying
then i called my sis back, she came and got me, and we went on our way to see a doc. after an hour there, and seeing the doc for like 6 minutes, i was diagnosed with acute bacterial conjunctivitis AKA pink eye. DUH!! i knew i had it, damnit, just see me for 3 seconds and give me some medicine ASAP!! fucking idiots arrrrr
my sis wouldn't let me touch ANYTHING. she opened the car door for me from the inside. i was scared to touch the seatbelt to buckle up! but i did or she would have been even more mad at me! we went to CVS to get my eye drop antibiotic rx filled and stock up on a HUGE bottle of antibacterial hand gel. then off to central market so sis could buy passover food + lunch.
back to the phi house where i watched forrest gump and took a nappy, and layed around for the rest of the day.
today = no work done
i actually turned off the tv and tried to read my csd306k book, but i read one sentence and didnt get ONE WORD out of it. and it was too late to take my adderall or i would be awake for the rest of my life...
so tomorrow i will wake up early and get lots of work done.
i was looking on the University of Haifa website again, and i was reading more about student activities and trips, and i got really really excited about going back. i want to go now. and my dad reassured me today that i am going. YAY i can't wait. i want to go NOW!!!!!
i also read that in the dorms, we're paired with 5 other people, either 2 per room in 3 rooms, or 1 per room with 6 rooms, and we will only be paired with AT MOST one other overseas student, and the rest of our roommates will be israeli. YAY!!! I LOVE ISRAELIS!!!!!!!
and my sole purpose of going over there is to find my future husband. i promise!!
ok now it's time for more eye drops and then bed time

p.s. someone has left their garden state soundtrack cd in the upstairs bathroom for about 24 hours now. and i am loving it. it's on continuous repeat in the bathroom. so peaceful to bathe to! and last night, agin and i burned it onto our iTunes before they took the cd back! but whoever has left the cd in there hasn't claimed it back yet so...i'm l o v i n g it for real (not like the McD's commercial ughh)
