Okay. So, it's been awhile. Since I last posted, the following has occurred:
I got a "star" at Cracker Barrel. I am now a Par 1 server with an apron with my name on it and a star. This, however, will not keep me from quitting this job as soon as I can.
I am now substitute teaching for Muhlenberg County Schools. More on that later.
I started working on the guest room. The nasty wallpaper is gone. Oh yeah, and so it the MOLD! As soon as Jon does some caulking, I'll be painting that son of a bee sting room.
I have somehow managed to gain weight. Ugh!
I have a hamster; her name is Tibby. She doesn't like me very much, but she loves Jon. She likes to run around the house in her ball, and her favorite food is carrots. She's got little tufts of fuzzy fur sticking out on each side. Jon even likes her.

Substituting summary:
Day 1: Muhlenberg North, Coach Nelson's history classes. Monsters, all of them.
Day 2: Muhlenberg South, Mr. Durall's English classes. Monsters, horrible monsters. Five write-ups (should have been more like 30). Write-up reasons included: fist-fighting, horseplay, refusal to stay in seat, throwing things, excessive back-talking, hitting, stomping, yelling, and being a general distraction to the rest of the class. I didn't turn in the students who were cheating, but I should have. By fourth (the last) block, I was mostly prepared:
"Hi, everyone, I'm Mrs. Doss. Mr. Durall is not here again today. I know you have work to do, and I suggest you do it. I gave out five write-ups last block, so I'm on a roll. Also, if anyone gives me ANY trouble, the whole class will have four essays to write in addition to the rest of their work. These essays WILL be taken up for a grade. Think I'm kidding? Don't try me. Okay, now let's take attendance."
Basically, the most trouble I had from them was some chatty girls and a few cheaters.
Day 3: Muhlenberg South, Ms. Wyatt's Home Ec classes (I'm her sub for the next three days). We made crepes, got our work done, joked around a bit, and made plans for pancakes tomorrow and a video with popcorn on Friday. Someone did steal my coke, but I ended up having a pretty awesome day.

So, I'm taking 3 classes at WKU this summer, then I'm back full-time in the fall. Yea!
