Updates in Brief
Although not a grandiose entry, a small update.
- the_dense and nee_chan came to see me. It was wonderful to have them here, and despite the sunburn and expired drivers license set-backs, we had a deeelightful time.
- We applied to live in a condo building right off the Virginia Square metro stop in Arlington - and we got it. We move in July 22. Anyone want to help?
- Armani decided they didn't want me. An Ex-Gap head of store was recruiting me for Aeropostale - but it would have required taking a step down (without a hit in the pocketbook, but still a step back in title). I decided that I didn't want to do that.
- I FINALLY got time with my DM to talk about my life with Gap. I told her my frustrations. She told me that she didn't think this store was the right fit for me (something I was thinking) and that she would work on the money bit for me (as she knows how the cost of living increases coming from the Midwest to DC - she relocated from Chicago here).
- I am chatting with this wonderful boy that I met online - and we're going on a date when he gets back to MD (he is originally from MD but is working as a camp councilor in SC). He's adorable and we both like horror films. Only down side: he goes to school at Notre Dame - so he'll head back to IN in the fall. But who says I can't live in the now and just have fun?
- I am spending time at Joe's to help him prep for moving into our apartment while we wait for our new apartment to open up. So - cleaning bathrooms, patching holes, taking stuff apart to move it, etc. All good stuff.
- I get an F- in the update department. I will work on that more - but in the mean time take the small tidbits you get and leave me lurve to let me know you still read me :-p
