Betas Needed for a Fanfic!
Hello! I've decided on doing a Hetalia cardverse fanfic that requires a reliable, stable beta- it's a multichap fic and is currently undergoing on Fanfiction.net. (note: this is not published yet- I am on chapter 6/7 as of now, rough draft only and will start publishing when I get to 15/20.) The cast is the same, and this is a USUK fic.
summary: The idea of this is basically the four kingdoms had just finished a war, with Spades and Hearts on one side and the Diamonds and Clubs on the other. And it was force finished- meaning the citizens threatened to rebel if they didn't stop it. Which meant that the royals, presumably the heirs of the country were going to marry the opposite faction, the one that they fought with. And it meant the princess is going to marry the prince.
Notice that the fic has princesses and princes- I am not following the idea that they are using magic to find the rulers- it's passed down from generation to generation.
how the plot is going to go: in a nutshell, the plot is going to start with Arthur moving to the Spades, staying there, wondering to himself why he stayed there and why not travel the world, and leaving the castle with feelings for Alfred developed. However, he decided to travel still- his needs overwhelmed his heart.
Outside of the capital's walls he discovered that the place isn't splendid at all- the stench of corpses still faintly in the air, people having no place to live and no food because of being displaced, and the effects of the war and such. As he travelled all over the four kingdoms, he decided that he was homesick and misses Alfred while in the rain and wants to help the people. So he came back.
There, they rejoice for a while and got crowned/married.
This shall take 30 chapters- there will be 3 parts to the fic.
The actual story is going to be a lot better, especially with me pretty much planned the big things out, only having to fill out the mini chapter plots.
what I look for in a beta: not afraid to voice his/her opinions about the chapter, give me advice, be honest, and able to look out for the flow of the fic and nitpick about it. And telling me the ups and downs of the fic, what I can do to improve, and what I should add/delete. A beta is an editor, not a reviewer. S/he checks the fic thoroughly as if his/her own and edits it.
This fic is also in a fairytale-like theme, in which my past beta told my that my fic needs to tone down on the clinicality and rambliness. So watch out for that, since this is slightly following European middle ages- custom of talking and I absolutely fail at it, though I want it that way.
Am I coming out as too mean? D: I hope not, I just really need a stable beta... Oh, and if you agree to it, I can start sending you the true, detailed info. :D
