I've always had this pipe dream of opening up a bakery. I'd love to own one with my sister, and we'd call it something punny having to do with Grimm. And we'd both work side by side, and people would come from far towns to try our confections. We could serve coffees too, maybe, and I'd hang my artwork on the walls, and maybe people would buy it.
The older I get, the more I realize that this doesn't have to be just an unreachable fantasy. With investors' money, I could easily open up a shop. I'm not the best baker on earth. But I can definitely make good cookies. I'm getting better and more adventurous, and I'm learning to write my own recipes. This is one thing that seems to come naturally to both Linz and I, and I know she's thought about the same idea.
Richard could help me manage the books and keep finances realistic. I know he could easily explain to me how to formulate a business plan and keep me grounded on the path to having a sufficient shop.
It's not something that's going to happen immediately, or possibly even in the next five years. But someday. Someday when I'm settled down and know that I can stay in one location for some time. I can definitely open up my own bakery if I just get the money and the space.
