Yeah, it's a bummer. I've sent a sad, wheedling email to my lecturer instead. You never know, they might throw a bone :)

myUNSW should list the dates. You'll definitely incur HECS at this point, and I'm also pretty sure the deadline for withdrawing without academic penalty has passed. :S You can apply for withdrawal on compassionate grounds, though I think you'd need some sort of proof (doctor's note, counsellor's note, etc...).
