Eugh - I spilt water on my laptop this morning. Even after draining and hair-drying it looks like it might be toast.
I was pretty lucky, considering - i had printed off my class notes for the final exam the day before, meaning I only lost about a day of work. This morning I panicked a bit, but have since started studying again on a college computer, which is again, fortuitously, avaliable to me here.
Feeling a little down about it now. It was just sheer carelessness - an accident waiting to happen - I use my desk as workstation/breakfast bar/ club bar.
If it's not insured (not clear yet whether it's covered by my parents home & contents policy), I'm going to feel pretty vile.
