What is it about re-watching Firefly that makes me sad every time I get to the last episode?
I always feel like I'm saying goodbye to an old friend for awhile. Something about this show just connects with me on every single level. I love it.
Seeing a show like this makes me want to be a screenwriter. I'm serious. I want to help create something as wonderful as this show - something so moving and powerful and original. Watching the special features on my discs makes me well up every time. Every single person involved with that show loved it so much. They appreciated the fact that they were working on something truly special and the fact that Fox canceled it at all still infuriates me.
And now, for the first time in ages, I think I'm going to write some fanfic. I don't know how successful I'll be or how it will actually turn out, but I feel very inspired right now.
