Can some kind person explain the concept of tumblr to me? I've been deciding whether to get one, and I just don't know if it's worth it. What makes it different from LJ or Facebook or Twitter?

I am curious what those of you who use it get out of it.

I use mine for posting or reblogging (there's a button you can use to repost something someone has already posted) pictures, music, and quotes that I find beautiful or that strike me somehow, when I see them.

Other people use it as an archive for their writing or photography, but in general I find it a lot less personal than other sites, more like my personal archive of pretty things.

You're welcome! The nice thing about it, too, is that you can really post as much or as little as you'd like--once of month or 50+ times a day, whichever, which is rather different from other sites too, I suppose. Thank you. I'm really in love with the site. :)
