I cannot tell you how proud I am that my name is in some tiny inconsequential way associated with this. I love your style, I love the structure, and I'm so happy you finally got this posted. One hell of a first fic, lady.

One thing I love is that you have so many opportunities to fall into... not cliches, but you take situations that can be trope-y (watching the sunrise, going clothes shopping) and making them your own. Sheldon discarding, even outright rejecting, thoughts and notions that would be considered "normal" is so him.

I'm going to reiterate what I said before about the crying thing--I normally hate it but you handled it believably and well. When you first sent it to me and I started that section, I'm gonna tell you I got had an "oh no" moment, but you quickly dispelled that. I think what I love about this scene is it is how they would have acted and reacted had they been characters on a show other than a sitcom. You can feel Sheldon's uncertainty instead of being told about it.

And I LOVED that he didn't get up to hug her because he didn't feel comfortable with it, and instead he asks her to show what had achieved this eureka moment in a way that he would have done it--I just can't use words to describe how I truly feel about what you did there. And the way she did it! I know I already mentioned this to you, but how you left it a big block of text for the reader to interpret her voice, her inflections, was just so well-done, and without you breaking it up and with the grammatical structure of the monologue there was a such a sense of earnestness and urgency. AND THEN THE WAY YOU ENDED THE SCENE. AND IT WAS SO FUCKING BEAUTIFUL.

The kiss? Perfect, and beautiful, and I'm pretty sure my heart melted just a lot. And sooo happy you managed to nail down the ending, I really love this one, it fits with the mood of the piece and with the "pause play rewind" structure and GAH.
