So I finally got myself some turkey dinner, and it's about time. I was hoping to get some last night, but alas it never happened... though it was brought forward to me that I could go to the Salvation Army for some. Tempting...
I love completely unproductive weekends. Especially when not only is work piling up, but you find new and exciting projects for yourself to do on top of that. And then you don't do any of it! Beauty. When was the last time I posted... hmmm... ok too lazy to check. Wait, I think it was Friday. Ok, so Saturday was a complete write off. No wait! That was a lie. See, I hardly know you and I'm already lieing to you. Terrible. So Saturday night some of my friends surprised me by deciding to actually do stuff so we went to a movie, The Departed. Good movie, reccomended if you planned on seeing it, don't reccomend it if you didn't, and a word of advice: don't see the latest showing. It's three hours long, so you can expect to be out late. But Jack Nicolson - good. Mark Walberg - eccentric but good. Matt Daimon - really good. Leo Dicaprio - not a Lio Dicaprio fan. Brad Pitt - sexy, even though he wasn't in the movie and only directed it. Anyway, nothing special that night other than that, hung out at Tim Hortons till the wee hours of the morning. Had an iced cap. etcetera
Sunday I was in the skit in A Whole New World, so I got to dress up all piratey again. Got alot of strange looks between the services, which is alot of fun! Especially from new people who come for the first time and see a couple people dressed up and they're thinking "what in the world..." And then we explain it and they understand and we move onto the next person. We have a system. I also auditioned for Hometown, the Christmas play, to be an actor in it. I haven't gotten a part in a few years, and I don't think I'll get one this year either, but I figured I might as well try my best. The rest of the night was alright too, we lost the hockey game but it wasn't bad to watch so it was ok. And then on the Amazing Race, I was very happy with the faverable result. If you haven't seen it, I'm going to spoil it right now, so don't read if you're just going to complain about it, kay? Thankfully, the gay couple got eliminated. And it's not that I'm some kind of biggot or anything, love the sin and hate the sinner right? Oh wait. Just kidding. But seriously, do they have to act gay? It's embarassing... and not to mention they were so completely useless. I think I might get in trouble for writing that... we'll see.
Tonight was turkey dinner, something I had been waiting for for so long now. Before we dined... dane... supped, my dad and I helped my grandfather put up new gutters on his garage. That was fun, three generations of Christies doing something that none of us had a clue how to do. Like I said, it was alot of fun. Then I had to run home to grab my other three siblings and drive us back to my grandparents, and on the way (as I was swerving in and out of traffic) I realized that our Christie progenies were all represented in that car, and if I happened to cause us to die, our bloodline would cease. And my father would probably make me live to regret it. But seriously, it doesn't look like my uncle Bob will have any children in the near future, and my Aunt Cheryl is no longer of the cookie variety if you get my meaning, and I'm not aware of any other cousins or such that bear our title, so the Christies would cease. That would be sad. I now feel an immence pressure to pass on this pristine and glorious name for the future of our worlds sake!
Probably not going to happen in the near future. Le sigh...
So back to digging tomorrow. Done digging the trenches, I'm just moving gravel now. Maybe I'll draw something when I get home. Hmm... we'll see.
