elephant shoe
it is smotheringly hot in my apartment. but, i kind of knew that was coming. there is a big lilac tree just outside the window and if i press my face up to the screen i get a big whiff of the flowers. my favorite, coincidently. i heart my apartment.
i'm in the midst of a full on nick cave obsessive compulsive overload. that's just how i am. while bonding with each album individually i am forced to face one of my most hated words: lover. ugh, it fucking makes me want to die when people say it, especially when it is worked into lyrics. would i still feel this way if he were saying it directly to me? well, i suppose i would have to find out the hard way.
saturday night i am finally going to see mike + band play. it should be interesting, i'm looking forward to it.
time to go cuddle with some ice.
