ok.... update
so, ACEN.... let me recap the weekend for those who care. Ok, let me start on friday.... we left sometime around 9am or something... and started the long trip. Me, Arie, Harpo, and mark drove with aries mom while Sean, Phil, Adam and Evan rode in harpos moms car. For us it was pretty cramped, but that could br because we had the PS2 in there with us hooked up to a portable screen and a whole setup to play in the car, not much space to work with so someone always had the thing on thier lap in order to play. but in any case... 6 hours later, we arrived at our destination... the Hyatt Hotel, where Acen would take place. When we got there tons of people were already there... we registered our rooms, moved on up to the 10th floor where our rooms were, and set our stuff down. From there we moved over to the expo-center across the street to take care of Acen Registration. I was preregistered, where-as parts of our group had to wait a few hours to get through the regular registration process. We then went into the Dealer room, where all the people selling anime things were... we began looking around, and checking out all the cool cosplayers there were. We didn't have much time to walk around the dealer room to buy stuff... cause there was a free concert we went too. took some waiting and some squeezing, but we were able to See The Pillows, a Popular Japanese band, play for everyone. that was awesome. we walked around a lil bit more, and before we knew it the night was pretty much over, then the rave started lol.... so we went there, i didn't do any dancing however, i just wasn't feeling up to it, but it was fun watching other people do cool dance moves, and play with giant special Effects Lightsabers lol...eventually though, that ended and we moved on to walk to the theater, we watched a lil bit o anime, then we retired to our rooms... somehow i got the entire bed to myself, im not sure how or why. Saturday i slept in a lil bit, till i finally woke up, took a shower... moved on to other stuff.... we walked around (go figure)... went to the dealer room... walked arund a bit more.... went to the games area... so on and so forth.... saturday we just walked around lookin at everything there was. we also went to see previews for new movies coming out. i got a free hat, and some free posters. There was a halo tourny most of my friends took part in... but i and a few who didn't takje part in it, went to the room i was in, and watched a new anime our friend bought.... it had to have been the most interesting concept ever.... It was a super hero type anime, but the Hero, save for a mask, was completely naked... and im not even goin to explain the rest of it... cause the only way to understand, is too watch it lol... after the halo tourny ended everyone gathered to do some more stuff.... we were waiting to get into the big party, but i went back to the room when i heard some of the guys there were gettin mad cause someone misplaced thier stuff and they were starting to tear up the place.... i sat in the room then.... and at some point... i just fell asleep and missed out on a bunch of stuff.... i wasn't the only one though... i missed the house partys, lil partys held by Acen Visitors, they open thier hotel rooms for people to come in and party. oh well... i fell asleep watching Goodfellas lol.... sunday was the big day, our last day.... i was then in a mad rush to fill up my third and final camera, and also to do my last bit of Spending at the dealer room... i went and saw Micheal Poe, the artist and creator of one of my Favorite webcomics, and walked around taking pictures of various cosplayers.... we did more walking around... and eventually... we met back at the rooms for final clean-up, pack-up, and Check-out.... so that then signified the end of acen... it was fun... and we didn't want to leave.... since technically Acen didn't end till about 4pm, and we left around 1pm.... but... we had school.... damnit...on the drive back, me, arie, harpo, and mark got Harpos moms car this time.... she was driving a Trailblazer.... so we had more room.... A LOT more room.... we arrived back at aries house at about 9:30... divided up everyones stuff and made sure they had thier things.... then it was off to home.... Fun was had by all... can't wait till next year
