Our nice neighborhood is being overrun by really obnoxious tea party people. :| :| :|
New people moved in to the right and I have no idea what their deal is, I just know they hold loud meetings, they all get together and make signs twice a week. There's not a ton, just four or five but it's still obnoxious as all get-out to see cars with hateful bumper stickers reminding me that they would very much like me and my family to either die or leave the US. One of them thinks our lawn is his personal dog toilet, and after Ami called him out on it last week I've heard the mutterings about the crazy dog hater lady. Look, there are a lot of redblooded Americans who are scared of dogs too, not just weird foreigners like me.
If they would ask politely, I would have explained that my hatred of dogs has nothing to do with my religion...more to do with getting chased by the stray dogs that overrun the city we were living in at the time. Did I mention that Rabies was/is epidemic there? Nothing says "lovable pet" to a kid like twenty shots into the bellybutton. They didn't ask nicely though, so I'm not terribly inclined to be nice to them the next time it happens.
Of course, I don't dare say anything because I'm sure they'd use it against me to be deliberately annoying. But fffgh. I can either go outside and hang out with the dogs digging up our lawn or I can stay inside and listen to Tati complain about doing chores. Wah wah wah, my tears are flowing like a river. If she's going to be sitting around all day hogging the TV and eating all the food, she can exercise those delicate wrists and fold clothes while she does it. Her big brother isn't out in California working just for grins.
