i finally won a battle against my university!
i wanted to change my major from Economics to Financial Economics, a difference of 7 classes, but since the Fin Econ major hadnt come out til after i started school i would have to change my catalog year and switch to the university's new general class system. blah blah blah, lots of logistical bullshit, etc. i had to eventually petition the school, talk to the president of academics, and sign over the rights to my future first born child. after weeks of red tape and bureaucracy i got permission to change my major. i marched down to the academic office, asked for my major to be change, and guess what- the computer system wouldn't let them. their response to the problem: *shrugs* "i dont think you can change your major. sorry."
