This one was a pretty big production. For starters, I've been trying to finish the lyrics for 25 years; this was originally a single by the Bigamy Sisters, a band I was in in the early 90s. It was called Name Doctor back then. Robert Fisher and Robert Pierson wrote it and I dashed off a few lyrics, but I was never happy with my contribution. I would pull it out of the work files and take a stab at it every few years, then get frustrated and shelve it again. Finally had a breakthrough last week. Then I wrote some new chords for the chorus and a new bridge, because I can never help tinkering with things.
It took me 2 days to record all the parts and then a day to mix it.
I would have like to have released all new songs with full arrangements like this in 2019, but I would have had to quit my job and do literally nothing else.
