I found the meaning of life.... [Spoiler's Inside]
Oops... guess I forgot tha meaning of life? Ah well, too bad, I had it for a moment.. People on AiM Never see me. At least Work is entertaining... I do tech support for a local internet service.. no need so specify, however I take an average of 500 calls during my 8 hour shift. I'm currently at work where I'm not supposed to be using the internet and someone has transferred a problem to me. Being Tier 2, I'm the specialist that gets the call when the first person decides its' beyond thier control. Old man, Confused and scared because neither his cable nor his RoadRunner would work. [oops, gave it away]. Now I won't bore you with the explination, however, I had him check his cords and make sure his cable TV line wasn't plugged into his computer and vice versa... 2 different rooms, No issue there. Blah blah.. tap tap.. "okay, So your internet isn't connecting and you're not getting a signal to the TV... I know this is stupid, but is the computer and the TV on? What?! NO??? Okay.. turn them on.. ...The Electric is shut off? ...okay.. Sir? Your problem is that the electric is shut off, you'll have to.. No sir, We don't control the elect... ..Sir, Please stop the abusive language, I haven't seen my mother in several months. No sir, Brighthouse Networks simply lets you connect to our servers for a low price [yeah right] each month, Sir, I'm a specialist, we do not have supervisors.. May I ask why your power is off? [Construction work outside they said it would be half an hour] Okay.. let me verify your name and number and I will call YOU back in half an hour to make sure it's working again. ...Yes, I promise... Yes.. Uh Huh.. [2 PM, EST] Okay.. Thank you." So I've spent a half hour here in my journal.. Geez.. Yes, I've been asked where the any key is. I used Dan's famous "It's usually mislabeled power" comment. One good thing about working here is I get interesting stories, Another is that I get a free cable connection... Sadly, The T3 seems to have ended.. Ah well; I still have StarWars Galaxies!

As An update, It turns out it was the power. He appoligized for bitching me out and requested again to speak with my superviser to offer kudos. I said the call was recorded but I again didnt' have a supervisor. All went well! :)
