happily lost in a world of basketball

Lawd, lawd, lawd, I haven't been this happy since the NCAA tourney six months ago. Yesterday started out so shitty, and to have it end with Sacramento beating LA in the Western Conference semis was just beyond joyful. I was sitting in the child care room at the gym practically breaking the toy pony in half, I was so happy. :-) LA won't play for the title! The Storm has a chance at it!!! And Kate and Ali's NY Liberty won last night too. What an evening, mah gawd! I was on the phone for a very long time last night, being ridiculously delirious.

Can't believe Mabika's foul on K-Law at the end. What a bunch of fucking punks. But I shouldn't get started on that. It's like talking about Bush: it's aggravating and not worth it.

I amazed at the Stormies who keep going on road trips during these playoffs and the regular season. Not because they do it - who wouldn't - but because they seem to have so very much more money than I do. Ah well. I guess I'll see their rich asses on TV again.

Just between us live journal peeps, I am getting more and more irritated with people who don't support the Storm, women's basketball, the WNBA, etc. Especially lesbians. Some people don't even know when there's a game, much less that there is one. If you're a lesbian, you need to be pimp slapped. Support your sisters in sports! They've fought for generations to get here! Ignorance and non-support is just helping to keep them down, you bitches. No fair weather fans need apply. OK, rant off.

Yesterday I walked into the gym and my 69-year-old Rainier Beach secretary was sitting at the counter with her pink purse. I said, "Joan, wooo!" and she raised her hands like a samauri.....she was wearing weight lifting gloves she'd just bought. I made some karate kid noises and raised my leg and she flourished her hands and went, "ya!" LMAO. I love that woman.

She is going to get Kireen and I into a RB football game later this month. I'm excited about that. :)
