Well, yesterday was quite a day. I woke up around 10:00 and my mom told me we're leaving at noon to go visit some people. I agreed to take her in my car if she pays for gas. The first stop was my aunt who lives in Hialeah. She's the relative that lives closest to us. On the trip up there, we listened to the radio for a bit, then I put in my Kirk Franklin gospel CD. Once we found the place, I parallel parked my car and we went inside. Everybody went into the room with my aunt's sick mother and I had to stay out in the living room by myself. I had to do this because first off, she doesn't speak English, and second, there wasn't enough space in the room. I was just there, staring into space until they decided to get out of the room. I talked to my cousin for a bit. He's a single parent with a very cute lil' girl. He's all struggling with money problems. I hope things end up working out for him. Oh a funny thing... my aunt has this funny clock that makes lil bird noises. At 3:00, a bird starts to chirp. My mom and I started to look around, thinking she had a pet parrot or something. She pointed to the clock and boy did we feel stupid. The clock has a bird on each hour and on the hour, the bird on that hour will chirp. Well, shortly after that we left and set off for the house of a family friend in Carol City.
Once we arrived in Carol City, I started experiencing slight nostalgia. I miss the days when I lived up there, even if it was only for a year. Well, after my stroll down memory lane, we arrived at my mom's friend's house. It was funny when she opened the door. She has this lil' thing on the door. It's a santa claus and when the door opens, he says "ho ho ho, Merry Christmas" then a song plays. My mom was laughing a lot when she saw it.We had fun... well, at least my mom did. They were speaking creole, and I was all lost. We didn't stay there long, though. My mom wanted to go home before it got dark. She was kinda late for that. It was still bright when I first started going home, but it quickly got dark.
When I got home, I'm thinking it's gonna be another typical night. I really wasn't expecting anything to happen. I signed onto AIM and I just started talking to people. I got an IM from Hannah. Background on Hannah: We met online on myspace.com. I was just like w/e, she's an online friend. When she found out I went to Columbus, she told me that she knew one of my classmates. I asked him about her and he verified that they knew each other. Her and I messed with his head by saying we were dating. I would bother him during school about it, but eventually it got old and she told him the truth. We've been talking and stuff since then and we ended up becoming friends (yey for new friends!) You know you have a friend when she chooses you to call when she's drunk, lol. Well, over AIM, she invited me over to her house. I got directions from Mapquest.com and I went on my way... NEVER TRUST MAPQUEST! I was at this place and I honked my horn, but nobody answered. I called Hannah and I asked her where she was. We found out that I'm at the wrong house. After searching around, I decided to ask for directions. Nobody knew what they were talking about so I pull into a gas station and asked for directions. Finally, I got an answer. I ended up finding the house around 11:15 and I left my house at like 9:30. I honked my horn and nobody came out, so I was gonna leave and then she came out. I parked she came up to my car window . o 0 (she's so pretty! awk! *dies*) I showed her the directions that led me all over the place and she tore it up and threw it all over her yard. I'm like =-O Anyways, we went inside and talked for a bit, then X2 came on, so we watched it. During the movie, I made a comment and she didn't respond. I looked over at her and she's asleep. She sleeps all funny and stuff. I thought she woke up at one point, but I was wrong. So, she ended up missing the movie. I woke her up and we talked some more and went on the computer for a bit. She showed me some funny sites and stuff. Then, we went back to the TV and watched Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Again... she fell asleep. This time, it was hard to wake her up. After five minutes of calling her name, tapping her on the head, and moving her pillow, she finally woke up. We talked some more until her mom woke up and told us the time. IT WAS NEARLY 5 IN THE MORNING! We quickly hugged and said bye and I went home. My mom was mad, not necessarily because I was out so late, but because I didn't call so she knows I'm okay. I showed her how my phone was broken and she told me that if I'm out past 3AM, I have to call her so she knows I'm okay. So, now I have a broken phone. This sucks a duck! I need to get it fixed quickly. I also need new batteries for my crappy cam. Oh well. I'll update again after Madhouse, tomorrow (I'm all excited!!!). Bye
