I've come to realize I tend to try to tell everyone everything in this livejournal. Maybe that's why it's getting so overwhelming for anyone to read. Maybe this should be oriented towards just my thoughts and not what is going on around me. I just can't help but talk about my friends. I feel like livejournal is my inbetween buddy that I have to keep up to date on what I say to everyone. But maybe that's ok. Livejournal can be my rant buddy right?
Just a few minutes ago I clicked on the most recent entries thing and started wandering off on to other people's journals. It's so interesting... It's like a million personal movies... Sometimes you just get bored with your own movie ya know...?
Well this weekend was really great. I ended up spending the 4th at Lake Ouachita with Wes and his family. We stayed at a place called Denby Point. He has a boat and a 5th wheel which is basically like a freakin mobile house... By no means were we roughing it. His 5th wheel had an extra full size bed that nobody was using... heheh. It had A/C and stuff in it lol. Him and bunch of his relatives all had boats and we were like 300ft from the dock that had the fireworks. We tied all three ski boats together and everyone kinda ran around and yelled at people on the lake until it started. People were echoing "AARRRKANSAAAAWWWW..... RAAAAZORRRBAAAACKSSSS!" like waaaay off in the distance... Like the whole lake was full of boats from up and down the rivers. I think it was easily over 1000 boats. There were huge houseboats and stuff too. One of em had this gigantic train horn that was sooo freakin loud... Of course the fireworks were crazy huge and awesome. It sounded weird like it was echoing off of everything there. After the fireworks show all the boats turned on their huge spotlights and were shining them straight up in the air. For some reason this is the tradition there afterwards and they all would try to fight each other with spotlights like starwars. It was weird because the lights were so bright you had no clue where the beams were coming from. You could be air-swordfighting someone like a mile away but it was so freaking hilarious I almost peed my pants watching. But that usually only lasts like 10 minutes because when its happening its reaaally hard to see anything besides the sky. Then like all the zillion boats started going back home.
The day after the 4th we went of a boat ride below the dam there. THe dam is really huge... like 150+ ft. We went all the way up the river to right below it... it was pretty crazy looking... But the water was like IIIIICCCCEEE COLD! Because the water coming out was from the very bottom. After about 20 seconds my feet went numb. But it felt good in the 90 degree weather. We tried to fish but didn't get anything.
Later that day we drove back to Ft Smith and I went fishing again at Wes's uncle's pond. We caught a catfish that was as big as part of my arm. To give you an idea it was bigger than from the tip of my middle finger to my elbow. But we threw him back because his uncle was trying to keep the pond stocked. But it was crazy fun to reel him in. He was prolly like about 10lbs.
Camping is so fun. I ate sooo much food.
There's more going on but it can wait until I know for sure. Seems like everyone I know is moving away. Maybe me too. Eek.
