If you haven’t seen this you should. Basically some guys in the 82nd airborne have been accused of appearing on a gay porn site and now they might be hunted down and removed from their positions.
Maj. Todd Vician, a Defense Department spokesman in Washington, said the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy states that "homosexual orientation alone is not a bar to service, but homosexual conduct is incompatible with military service.” He also said, “We define homosexual conduct as homosexual acts or verbal or nonverbal communication that a member is homosexual.”
The truly boggling part of this is the fact that they bothered to jump into the “It ain’t okay to be gay” thing when all they had to do was say “It ain’t okay to do porn while your in the military”. I mean, unless I miss my guess you can get booted out of uniform for posing on ANY porn site whether it is gay or straight. To be honest, I’m more or less okay with THAT kind of rule. I mean, I may not be a hawk but I understand why the military exists and I can see why they would not want to generate bad publicity for themselves.
What we need to do is start the Brokeback Brigade. The freakiest fightingest, craziest mo foes that you have ever seen… and of course they would all be gay. Now I think to make this work we would need to allow women to fight in the brigade but I figure that its okay as long as they are lesbians. Heck, I know a lot of women I would rather have fighting by my side in a war than say… me for example.
Basically I think it is insane that this free (begin laughing now) country allows its military to discriminate in the way that it does. Of course I also think that it’s pretty nuts that we have been locking people up without a trial so I guess I’m just a crazy liberal. Yeah crazy liberals!
And so you know how I know the guys that lead our military are gay? They were wondering around on gay porn sites and saw a bunch of their men there.
