...and into the home stretch they go...

Back in Bronxville. Today started at 3:15am, and I'm just totally exhausted. Early planes just suck, and that's all there is to it. Anyway.

I'm off to do my radio show. And you all should listen, of course. Click here to hear some good tunes and some good ramblin' on my part. Hm, yeah.

I randomly found your journal. I am typing this from Slonim House. I graduated from SJC SF in 97 and am now an SLC grad in the writing program. Are you the SJC transfer Dan King mentioned to me? How curious! and hello.

It is quite possible that I am the transfer you've heard about, not
sure. I transferred here at the beginning of second semester during
the 2003-04 year, my name is Lea. During my time at SLC, I've been
studying ethnomusicology and fiction writing (in case you were at all
curious about such things).

I miss Santa Fe so very much. It has never stopped being strange to
me that I can't just go down the street and pick up some green chile
stew.

Yeah, so, how did you end up at SLC?

It is very difficult to get into graduate fiction writing programs. But SLC was one of my top choices and I got in-so here I am. (luckily my husband was willing to move here so I could attend!)

I miss Santa Fe all the time. I lived there for a year after I graduated. I miss the chiles, the buildings, the smell after it rains, the mountains, the rain in August, 10,000 waves, Downtown Subscription . . .

crap. now I am depressed about living in Yonkers.

So you write too? Excellent.
