Most of my interraction with the internets these days is through my iPhone. I keep waiting for a LJ app so I can post with ease (web based posting on a mobile device can be a pain in my experience). Maybe I'll just have to suck it up and get a paid account so I can email my posts.
Anyway, Kate and I moved on Saturday. It went as smoothly as these things can go, but wow, what a hassle. Now we have I unpack and organize a new layout. We moved to a condo near yonge at and finch at the end of the Toronto subway system and it's as far away from Downtown as I've ever lived. Kate and I are thoroughly urban people ((despite Kate having grown up in a town if 15,000 people on the outksirts of Toronto) so even though I'm working in deepest darkest suburbia, we have clung to transit oriented development as best we can. The place is nice though. Central air and heating, two bedrooms (you'd be lucky to fit even a single in he second bedroom but we'll use it as an office), gym and pool in the building and , most importantly a dustwasher. Have I mentioned that are my deadliest foe?
I had deluded myself into thinking that this move could be temporary since I'm only on a year long contract (which could be extended) and we could move back downtwn at the first opportunity but after packing nonstop fir almost a month I'm really not anxious to move again. My social life has somewhat atrophied since moving has monopolized my time. It's been at least a couple of months since I've seen any of my close friends.
Oh and to celebrate our arrival our new building had a fire alarm at six am on our first night. That was thoughtful.
