GSTL = Guest Service Team Lead aka Frontlane Manager

Good News:
I got temp. promoted to GSTL at my Target until it closes March 4th.
Bad News:
I get less than 6 days between now and then to get trained for it.
Good News:
I get paid $3.50 more an hour!!!
Bad News:
I have to be to work or stay after close an extra half hour than normal.
Good News:
All the flavor, less commitment. It’s nice to be able to try this job out. If I want to GSTL at the new Target it wouldn’t be much more training.
Bad News:
I’m exhausted from all the “practice” GSTL’ing I’ve done today and it’ll be near impossible to get any day off in February.
Good News:
I’ve already made sure that I’ll have the Sat. Nights off for Afterlife.
Bad News:
I couldn’t get the weekend for Keri’s b-day, so I’ll likely miss out on whatever she wants to do. *sad*
Good News:
Did I mention the extra $3.50 and hour? When I get paid a messily $7.something an hour… that’s just a huge chunk of extra money.
Bad News:
It’ll go to paying off my medical bills for my leg and for the belts I need replaced in my car. *sigh*
Good News:
It’ll lesson the trauma of trying to pay these things without that extra $$!! Woo!

So, all in all, it’s all good. The trauma will fade, I’ll get nice paychecks and practice at doing something that I was already 2/3rd trained for by working at the Service Desk. It’ll look good on a resume and will give me people managing skills that I can use at work and other places in life. I’ll be able to apply these at a new, better paying job with at least equally nice benefits. *beams*

I’m tired.
