Yay for new computers
Well, we got our new computer over the weekend and I've got it all set up. Got the new fan for the graphics card and moved it over and moved the hard drive over so that we didn't loose any of our data.
For a couple of hundred we now have a system that kicks butt over the old one. 2.4GHz P4, 256MB DDR RAM, 100GB of disk space (80 new, 20 from the old HD), CDRW, DVD, firewire, USB2.0 everything you would need. The motherboard will support up to a 4GHz chip so I can upgrade and it has some open memory slots as well. All in all I'm quite happy. :o) (The old system was a 1.1GHz Athlon with 448MB of RAM but it was slower memory because of the bus speed and also wasn't DDR and only the 20GB of space). Strangely enough it is by this outfit called Medion which I guess is out of Germany. It's using all namebrand parts, has a good Phoenix BIOS will all the bells and whistles so I'm not worried.
Now I can't wait for tomorrow when I get to buy TT:EE. It'll be sweet but I'll have to wait to watch it until after 24 which sucks. But such is life. :o)
