Welcome all the new Deverry peeps
Well, seeing as how it has been, oh, I don't know, a shade past forever since I last posted; and there has been a large influx of new people popping out of the woodwork on the Deverry list; I thought I would make a post and maybe, if you're lucky (although luck is in the eye of the beholder), start getting back into the habit of (semi)-regularly posting.
Anyhow, what has happened to me since my last post? I have no idea, since I don't know what I posted about last. Let me rectify that, just a moment.... Hmmm, well the info most of note is that I finally graduated and now have my PhD. I've been working in my postdoc job since September, and I'm quite enjoying it. It involves working in the CMS detector, both in simulation validation and Forward Pixel construction. I'm also still affiliated with DØ, and after the shutdown will be working with their silicon operation as well as supervising a new student University at Buffalo will be sending here.
Rather than having an extensive info-dump, I think I'll just start back up in media res, so to speak, and if past happenings become important, I'll post about them then. Maybe in a funkadelic flashback even!
