DVD Madness
Well, I got my new DVD player. It is very nice. :o) Much more solidly built than the old piece of crap and the picture and sound are much nicer. So when they say that you get what you pay for, they are telling the truth. I've already checked that it plays the DVDs that the old player won't play so I'm happy on that count. :o)
To celebrate, I got a bunch of new DVDs. I got:
1) The Lion King
2) A Bug's Life
3) Clerks Uncensored
4) Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
5) Fantasia
6) Fisher King
(needed to get the Disney disks before they went out of print)
and I mail-ordered:
1) Time Bandits: Criterion Collection
2) The Adventures of Baron Munchausen
3) Twelve Monkey's: Collectors Edition
4) Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: Criterion Collection
(need to finish my Terry Gilliam collection)
and from UK
1) Trainspotting: Definitive Edition
2) A Fish Called Wanda: Collector's Edition
I tried to get the Toy Story Ultimate Toybox but it is out of print until 2008. So I'll have to look around. Maybe I can find it used or get it on ebay for a not too outrageous price.
I think that will hold me for a week or so. :o)
In other news, I saw some deer and foxes at the lab this afternoon. It was very nice. Unfortunately, I will need to go back to the lab at midnight to train the shift captain on how to remove the pots. I think I've trained him before, but it has bee a few months since we inserted the pots so at a minimum he will need a refresher.
