BE WARNED!! This is the oldest (and worst) of all my writing...it was going to be long...and I have it and the sequel planned out in my head...but it will most likely never be written. This was written BEFORE OotP and HBP, and I haven't been bothered to correct the parts that need to be corrected.

"Bye, sweetheart, owl us when you get there."
"Okay, mum, bye!" seventeen-year-old Lily Evans waved to her mother and sister.
"Can we go now before any of my friends see us!" Lily's older sister, Petunia, complained. Ever since Lily was five and Petunia, seven, when Petunia had torn the head off of Lily's teddy bear and suddenly found heself outside, covered in mud; Petunia had considered Lily freakish and embarrassing. Petunia had inherited much of their father in appearance. She had his dark looks and bony face. She was tall and incredibly thin. Petunia and their father were both sharply angled, rather than Lily and their mother's smooth curves. Petunia was very lazy and too nosy for her own good. Lily, on the other hand, had her mother wavy, dark red hair. Lily also shared her mother's kind spirit and outgoingness, but also her mother's stubbornness and tendency to strongly believe in what she thought was right. The thing that made Lily different from all of her family, though, were her eyes. Instead of being brown, like the rest, they were a brilliant emerald, like green marble behind glass. Lily walk through the barriar and boarded the Hogwarts Express.
Remus Lupin looked up as the door to his compartment opened, expecting to see hia cousin, Alex. Instead he saw a short red-head in a khaki mini-skirt and a green tank top.
"Lily!"
"Hi, Remus," Lily laughed as she gave her friend a hug. "How was your summer?"
"Great!" answered another voice. Lily looked up to see one of her best friends, "I like Remus' house better than mine." Alex sat done across from her cousin, after giving both of them a hug. The two cousins couldn't be more different. Alexandria Lupin, or Alex, to all of her friends, had long, curly strawberry-blonde hair and big, hazel eyes; while her gray-eyed cousin had dark mahogany hair. While Remus was shy and soft-spoken, Alex was exuberant and outgoing.
"It's so good to see you!" Lily said, hugging her as well, and taking out some Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. She had really missed Alex and her other best friend, Rebecca Yen. Lily carefully picked out some beans as she sat down in the corner next to Alex. Suddenly a boy with longish, dark brown hair, that was tied back at the base of his neck, burst in. Alex stood up and the boy hid behind her. He smiled mischievously.
"Hello, Lily, Moony."
Alex pulled his hands from her shoulders and turned to face him.
"Sirius Black! Are you going to say hello to me or not?" she pretended to be angry. Alex and Sirius had started going out at the end of fifth year, but they had liked each other since they first met. Sirius grinned and kissed her cheek quickly before jumping behind Remus as the compartment door opened once again to reveal a tall boy with messy black hair, glasses, and blue eyes. He spotted Sirius and, as Remus and Alex jumped out of the way, dived on him with a cry of "Give it back!" The two boys wrestled good-naturedly, but they eventually knocked into Lily, who fell to the floor, showering all of them with Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans. Sirius gave James back his satchel of galleons and James turned to give Lily a hand up. Emerald eyes met sapphire ones for a couple of moments, before their owners blushed and turned away.
"Geez! You guys made a mess in here." Lily's other best friend, Rebecca Yen, was standing in the open doorway.
"Hey, Becca, how was your summer?" Remus asked
"It was okay, Mum got sick in Korea so we had to come back early." Becca's long raven-black hair swirled around her waist as she sat between Remus and James. Her pretty, almond-shaped, sky-blue eyes sparkled with laughter. "Turns out it was food poisoning from the resturant she dragged us to the day before."
"Is she alright?"
"Oh yeah, it only lasted a few days. Honestly, you two, get a room!" she directed her last comment at Sirius who had just leaned in to kiss Alex.
"He was just kissing me!" Allex said indignantly
"Well, wait till you're out of our sight!" Remus teased them.
"It's no big deal! You sound like my mum!"
"Padfoot? Your telling me your mum doesn't care what you do as long as your out of her sight?" Remus look at him curiously before going back to his teasing. "Besides I consider watching someone kissing my cousin profanity." Remus grinned to show that he didn't really mean it.
"Um, yeah, Moony, whatev-"
"There you are, Wormtail, where've you been?" James cut off Sirius. The boy in the doorway was the opposite of his friends. While James, Remus, and Sirius were tall, athletic, and considered heartthrobs to many of the girls at Hogwarts; Peter was short and chubby, with a pointed nose and small, watery eyes.
" 'Lo Prongs, Mooony, Padfoot, girls. I've been looking for you guys. Couldn't find you 'til I heard Prongs yell. What in the world happened?"
"Oh!" Lily pointed her wand at the beans and muttered something under her breath. All the beans lifted off the floor, out of James' hair and Sirius' shoes. Lily pointed her wand at the trash bin outside the door and the beans flew into it.
"Exploding Snap, anyone?" said Sirius, pulling out a pack of cards.
"Sure." Said one of the boys. Lily and her friends watched their game for a while, before going to the opposite corner of the compartment to talk. After a while Becca laughed, and Remus glanced at her.
"Moony, stop staring at Becca!" Sirius teased, most likely getting him back from earlier.
"Excuse me, Padfoot, but your staring at Alex." Remus replied, falsely indignant.
"So, we're going out, if you ask Becca out, you can stare at her."
"I can't ask her out!"
Yea..thats all that got typed...
QUOTE TIME:
(Fav. Quotes from HP books & fanfic)
From that night onward, Lily Evans and I became friends. Soon afterward we fell slave to our fiery lust and eventually we got married and rode off into the sunset, had a son Lily insisted on calling Harold JAMES Potter, and fought evil for the rest of our days....
Well, okay, no. As if that will ever happen. But a shaky sort of bond formed between us. And Charms got a hell of a lot easier.
